The USAID/ILRG grant to the ZCRBA has been supporting its secretariat and committee to help the organization achieve its goals of uniting community voices, increasing the political understanding of communities with regard to natural resource management, engaging and negotiating for increased community rights, ad ensuring that rural communities derive tangible and sustainable benefits from the use of natural resources. The grant has helped ZCRBA to strengthen the capacity of local community organizations to address community-based natural resource management through improved internal management systems for the ZCRBA secretariat; strengthened organization and planning for the ZCRBA committee; development of systems and procedures to strengthen the capacity of CRBs; and strengthened ability of ZCRBA to advocate for natural resource management reforms on behalf of member organizations and communities
