Capacity Building Trainings

Over the past weeks, the Zambia Community Resources Boards Association (ZCRBA), in conjunction with the OAK Foundation, Conservation Lower Zambezi, The Nature Conservancy and African Parks, embarked on an incredible journey to train and empower local communities through capacity building and governance initiatives.
This project focused on strengthening Village Action Groups (VAGs) by providing essential training in leadership and governance, financial management ,Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) practices, gender inclusion and other vital topics. Our goal is to boost the productivity and sustainability of these communities.
We conducted these trainings in various Game Management Areas (GMAs), including:
Chiawa GMA
Rufunsa GMA
Lupande GMA
Nkala GMA
Mumbwa GMA
Kasonso Busanga GMA
Additionally, we extended our efforts to the Community Resource Boards (CRBs) in the open areas and these are Zumwanda, Mubambe and Mwasemphangwe.
Together, we are building a foundation for sustainable community development and conservation. Thank you to everyone involved for your dedication and hard work!
