Zambia Community Resources Board Association (ZCRBA) is a nonprofit making national level organization that was founded in 2016. The National Community Resources Boards’ consultative general meeting was held with Government, Conservation NGOs, local communities, traditional leaders, and other partners and resolved to set up this association. The ZCRBA was formed with the principle that community voice in natural resource management would have influence if a platform was created and used as a vehicle for bridging together local natural resources governance institutions, civil society organizations, and government. ZCRBA’s vision is to build a vibrant natural resources economy in natural resources-rich communities that have Village Action Groups (VAGs) Community Resources Boards (CRBs), Community Forest Management Groups (CFMGs), Community Fisheries Groups (VCFGs), and Conservation Trusts (CTs) to directly benefit those communities while delivering effective management of natural resources through: ZCRBA is officially registered as a company limited by guarantee under PACRA since the 24th of February 2017.
